The Biwa trout is an endemic subspecies found only in Japan’s Lake Biwa. During the spawning season, they are known to swim upstream in groups on heavy rainy days, which has earned them the nickname Ame-no-Io or Ame-no-Uo ("rain fish").In peak season, Biwa trout are prized for their rich, fatty flavor?comparable to premium tuna or salmon?and are especially delicious when enjoyed as sashimi. This color, often marketed as “salmon pink” by other brands, is currently trending. At JIOS, we chose the name Biwa Trout Salmon?just like our signature Lake Biwa Blue?to help promote regional recognition and support the branding of our local area in even the smallest way.

The "GMT Divers 104" offers water resistance strong enough to withstand the pressure at the deepest part of Lake Biwa. As JIOS’s second model, the "GMT Divers 104" is designed as a traditional diver's watch, showcasing its robust 200M water resistance, capable of withstanding depths of up to 104 meters, the deepest point of Lake Biwa. It is powered by a Japanese-made "SEIKO TMI NH34A" movement and features a mechanical automatic winding system with a GMT function that allows you to track a second time zone. The case is thoughtfully designed at 40mm, making it slightly smaller than typical diver's watches, ensuring a comfortable fit for everyday use.
